Policies and Procedures

BECAUSE YOUR TIME IS VALUED
I want you to have the best possible massage. Sessions always start and end on time. Provided you arrive 5 minutes early, my goal is to have you on the table by your appointment start time so you always get the most hands-on time. This means your 60-minute massage is actually 60 minutes, not 50. I also include time after your session to get dressed and check out so you are not rushed.
YOU KNOW YOUR BODY...SO LISTEN TO IT
Taking care of yourself is important to both of us, so if you have a fever or are feeling a cold coming on, notify me right away and I will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later day. The 24 hour cancellation policy may apply.
WHAT WILL MY FIRST SESSION BE LIKE?
First sessions can be nerve racking if you have never had a professional massage before. It all starts with your intake form that is emailed out to you. This lets me know your health history, what medications you may be taking, past and present injuries and what your reason and goal is for the session. Once you arrive for your appointment we will discuss your session in detail and put a treatment plan together.
Depending on the type of service you schedule you will either remain fully clothed or be asked to disrobe completely once I have left the room. However, Your comfort is my utmost priority. I've treated clients who are in the nude to fully clothed and everywhere in between. I will work with you to accommodate any needs you may have regarding draping and body positioning to ensure you always feel safe and secure.
I always knock before re-entering the treatment room. You will be draped with sheets and a blanket the entire session. Only the areas we are working are uncovered at any time and at no time is private areas exposed or worked on.
Your session is all about you and communication is key! At any time you are encouraged to speak up if the room is too cold/hot, if you prefer a different type of music, if the pressure or technique I am applying needs to be adjusted or for any reason you want to end the session just let me know. This ensures you get the best massage session possible and I promise my feelings will not be hurt.
DO YOU OFFER PREGNANCY MASSAGE OR WORK ON CHILDREN?
I have worked on expectant mamas and children ages 5 - 17. Parents/guardians can accompany their child in the treatment room. I do not specialize in prenatal work nor do I work on babies or toddlers, but I will happily recommend a colleague who does.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
I accept Cash, all major Debit/Credit Cards including HSA/FLEX. Personal Checks are not accepted. I am an Out of Network (OON) provider on all medical insurance at this time. If you wish to use your OON benefit you will need to pay direct and I will submit billing for you. I do not guarantee if your insurance will reimburse or not.
If you have been involved in an Auto Accident I may be able to work with you and your insurance company to ensure your sessions are covered at little to no cost to you. Sessions are billed at our full rate of $40 per 15 minutes of massage and $25 for heat/ice pack. If PIP is no longer available or it is a 3rd party case you must pay us direct at time of service and you may submit for reimbursement from the insurance company or include it in your settlement. If you are working with a lawyer to ensure you are being treated and compensated fairly we are happy to work with your lawyer on a lien agreement.
If your PIP is exhausted or you want to bill Medical insurance, L&I or 3rd party you will pay at time of service, you will be given an insurance receipt at the end of your treatment so you can submit for reimbursement. Please note you are responsible for obtaining the details of your insurance plan.
If using your HSA/FLEX you must check with your provider directly to ensure you will be able to use it for massage. Click here for more details. Otherwise if your card does not process you must be prepared to pay with another form of payment.
GRATUITIES ARE NOT NECESSARY
My rates are set to where I need them to be so the price you see is the price you pay! The best way to show your appreciation is to recommend me to your friends, family and your healthcare providers.
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. To be effective and fair to all, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. Our time is just as valuable as yours, so as a courtesy we send out reminder emails and text well in advance. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice contact us as soon as possible. You may be charged the full amount of your appointment or loss of program session, certificates or vouchers. This includes insurance clients; You are financially responsible for this not your insurance. Loss of any gift certificate or voucher may be implemented at the company's discretion.
No-shows - Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show” and will be charged in full for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrival Policy - We do not double book our sessions. The time you schedule is set aside specifically for you. Therefore you must inform us immediately that you are running behind. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible to pay for the full session that was scheduled.
Packages - All packages are good for up to 1 year depending on the package. They can not be combined with any other offer or discount. Cancellation policy applies and you may lose scheduled session if you no show or cancel less than 24 hour notice.
Refunds - Any refunds on Gift Certificates and packages will be calculated at full session price and used sessions will be subtracted from there, leaving the refund balance if any. Refunds may take two weeks to be received and will be refunded only to the original purchaser per original payment at the purchasers request.
Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
