Policies and Procedures

We want you to have the best possible massage, this includes time to talk about how you are feeling. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your session. Arriving early gives us a chance to talk about your individual needs before the session and allows us to give you your full time on the table. So a 60 minute massage is 60 minutes not 50. As an example a 60 Minute Massage Therapy Session is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes @ $100.00


Taking care of yourself is important to both of us, so if you have a fever or are feeling a cold coming on, notify us and we'll be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later day.


First sessions can be nerve racking if you have never had a professional massage before. The general process of a session includes completion of a client intake form. This lets the therapist know what medications you may be taking and what your reason and goal is for the session. Your therapist will go over your form with you to discuss your session in detail and put a treatment plan together.

Depending on the type of service you schedule you will either remain fully clothed or be asked to disrobe completely once the therapist has left the room.

Sessions where you disrobe you will wait for the therapist to leave the room, then you may disrobe and get under the sheets. Your therapist will knock before re-entering the treatment room. You will be draped with sheets and a blanket the entire session. Only the areas we are working are uncovered at any time and at no time is private areas exposed or worked on.

At any time you are encouraged to let the therapist know if the room is too cold/hot, if you prefer a different type of music, if the pressure or technique the therapist is applying needs to be adjusted or for any reason you want to end the session just let your therapist know. This ensures you get the best massage session possible.


We accept Cash, all major Debit/Credit Cards including HSA/FLEX. Personal Checks are not accepted.

If you have been involved in an Auto Accident we are able to work with you and your insurance company to ensure your sessions are covered at little to no cost to you. Sessions are billed at our full rate of $35 per 15 minutes of massage and $20 for heat/ice pack. If PIP is no longer available you must pay us direct at time of service and you may submit for reimbursement from your insurance or include it in your settlement. If you are working with a lawyer to ensure you are being treated and compensated fairly we are happy to work with your lawyer on a lien agreement.

We are currently not set up to bill Medical insurance or L&I at this time. You can pay us direct at time of service and then check with your insurance to submit for reimbursement if it is a covered service. If using your HSA/FLEX you must check with your provider directly to ensure you will be able to use it for massage. Click here for more details.


  • Tipping is in no way expected and completely up to you. 


We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all, the following policies are honored:

  • 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. Our time is just as valuable as yours, so as a courtesy we send out reminder emails and text well in advance. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice contact us as soon as possible. You may be charged the full amount of your appointment or loss of program session, certificates or vouchers. This includes insurance clients; You are financially responsible for this not your insurance. Loss of any gift certificate or voucher may be implemented at the company's discretion. ​

  • No-shows - Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show” and will be charged in full for their “missed” appointment.

  • Late Arrival Policy - We do not double book our sessions. The time you schedule is set aside specifically for you. Therefore you must inform us immediately that you are running behind. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible to pay for the full session that was scheduled.

  • Packages - All packages are good for 1 year. Can not be combined with any other offer or discount. Cancellation policy applies and you may lose scheduled session if you no show or cancel less than 24 hour notice.

  • Refunds - Any refunds on Gift Certificates and packages will be calculated at full session price and used sessions will be subtracted from there, leaving the refund balance if any. Refunds may take two weeks to be received and will be refunded only to the original purchaser per original purchasers request.

Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.


All intake forms, medical notes, authorization forms and conversations with Avani Massage and it's therapists are held in strict confidentiality within the guidelines of HIPAA Regulations and only provided with client's written consent.


Avani Massage is a professional place of business. Any sexual remarks, derogatory terms, advances, jokes, innuendos, illicit conduct and gestures will result in immediate termination of the session, client will be held liable for cost of session and charges may be filed with the local police.


Avani Massage and it's therapists have the right to refuse services at any time.


Feedback is always appreciated and helps us to ensure the quality of your massage. We are always learning new techniques to keep sessions fresh and unique. We have reviews on several platforms you may post to, referring friends/family/colleagues to us are always appreciated as well as seeing you on a regular basis. These are all great forms of feedback.
